PRONUNCIATION:
(SO-duh-list)

MEANING:
noun: A member of a sodality (a fellowship or association).

ETYMOLOGY:
From Latin sodalitas (fellowship), from sodalis (companion). Earliest documented use: 1794.

NOTE:
A sodalist is not a list of Coke, Pepsi, and other carbonated beverages.

USAGE:
